8 Obsolete Business Principles
Filed in archive home business people on January 6, 2007
There's Web 2.0 turning Web 3.0. I don't know when, though. But with regards to business penelope Trunk of Brazen Careerist, has a list of eight entrepreneurship thoughts that have reached obsolescence.
I have my two favorites, which both made me nod the most:
Old: Starting a business is risky.
New: Staying in corporate life is risky. Most businesses succeed, most jobs end.
Many were brainwashed about the risk of starting a business that they prefer to just get enslaved instead of running a business of their own when they get the chance to.
and,
Old: Climb the corporate ladder, learn the ropes, then start a company.
New: Start a company to get out of climbing the corporate ladder.
If you hate the corporate life, there's no other way than start your own business. Settling for less and enduring the sickening 9-to-5 is definitely a great display of cowardice.
Check out the other 6 old business notions and see which of them rings true for you the most - Brazen Careerist.

New: Staying in corporate life is risky. Most businesses succeed, most jobs end.
New: Start a company to get out of climbing the corporate ladder.
