Aside from its increasing demand, the lure of having events planning as a home business lies in the diversity of the industry. There are various niches where a freelancer can concentrate to grow in this business. Plus, you don't really need to rent an office space. You can start doing it on your own.
Although the main thrust is on logistics and organization, one can also venture on a specialized arm of events planning such as providing products like cards, souvenirs, flower arrangements to name a few.
It is difficult for starters to provide all the services and products needed in an event but it is always an added attraction to clients to make decision-making convenient for them by offering and creating products that you already have on hand.
Another is a thorough understanding of the market and a sound knowledge of what clients really want. This industry has many players in it. It is important to know your market to survive the competition. Having an overflow of unique creative ideas for events that would complement the needs and wants of clients to make the occasion a standout helps give you an edge over others too.
