1. Change your way of thinking. You may think that constant change, as well as improving yourself and your business, is a sign of indecision. As you change and improve your business, however, you tend to know more about it: what makes it tick, how you should expand it, and what you need to do to earn more money.
Changing your way of thinking, however, can be difficult. Take each day slowly as you assess how your business is doing. Make a habit of assessment and improvement until you finally do away with procrastination.
2. Dissociate yourself from your attitudes and behavior. If you constantly find yourself procrastinating, you may find yourself chiding yourself for being lazy. If you detach yourself from this behavior, however, you will find that you are not defined by how you behave. If you keep getting angry at yourself, you will only find yourself sinking deeper and deeper into self-pity and self-guilt, not to mention procrastination. This energy spent in looking within could better be used in improving your business.
3. Start, don't wait. A common mistake that most fledgling entrepreneurs make is to let fear lead the way. Instead of starting the job, they think about everything that could possibly go wrong with it. And instead of figuring out solutions to the possibilities of failure, they wallow in their fears. While constructing your business plan, organizing your accounts, or assessing your business performance, don't let fear go before progress. Move forward - not everything has to be perfect. It only has to start.
