Cooking a Business Idea? Join Contests for Funding

I've come across two sites today offering funding for those who have great ideas either for a blog or a business.

One is Daniel Scocco's Blog Incubator project wherein people can vote for their favorite blog idea. Those who submit their ideas need to pay $20 to get their ideas in. The collected money will go to the winning blog idea.

Another is IdeaBlob from Advanta:

Ideablob.com is where entrepreneurs and small business owners can share and grow their business ideas - and have a chance to win $10,000 towards fulfilling them.

Great ideas are generated every day by people all across the country, and now these ideas have a place to live and grow. Eligible individuals can submit their business idea to ideablob.com, and based on votes from the ideablob.com online community - which includes other innovators as well as friends, family, colleagues, associates, teachers and mentors - one idea every month will win $10,000.

Whether you're gunning for some domain name and hosting money for your new blogging venture or are looking to fund your big business project, there's no harm in trying your luck on these contests.
