If you have a home business, you can list hurricanes, strong winds, power outages, increased competition, and failure to deliver raw materials as possible stepping stones to disaster. If you have an online business, you can list power outages, increased competition, and hacked email or credit card accounts.
When you are finished listing your disasters, do as much research as you can on possible solutions. You can insure your business, and your house or home office from hurricane-related damage. You can make template emails to warn your clients about coming storms and possible power outages.
You can make it a habit to tune in regularly to your weather channel for hurricane updates. You can have better marketing strategies, a more secure website, and web developers on standby to counter disasters. Remember: act before things happen, not when they do.
