• Invest on the right advertising medium - not all forms of advertising may work for your business so make sure you invest on the right one.
Ask yourself these questions:
Would it let me to convey my message to a large group of people?
Would it allow me to talk to my targeted customers as often as I need?
How much information will I be able to provide my potential clients if I am going to use this medium?
• List down the advantages and disadvantages of all your advertising options and compare them. Consider their cost, their effectiveness and the answers to those questions above.
• Look around for the cheapest advertising opportunities - Before you make any decision, be sure research on the friendliest advertising rates.
• Get free advertising - You can actually get enough publicity without paying anything by writing news and feature stories about your business or anything related to it for local newspapers, magazines, periodicals, local TV and radio stations. Make sure it's well-written and can catch interest of editors and readers. You can also look for media sources that are looking for human interest stories and ask if your business can be featured.
