For your home business to grow, you might need to find complementary products or services. Such products or services are those without which your product or service might be useless; for instance, if you are running an online web design service, you might need the help of writers to be your content providers. If you are running a home-based daycare center, you will need food, milk, and children's toys companies to help you out.
If you want to know what the complementary products or services are for your home business, then you need to do research on the production process of your product.
What are the raw materials that go into it? How can your product be improved? Where is your product being used?
On the other hand, if you offer services, then you need to look at where your services fit in, and what other services are required to make it more profitable. If you are a computer repair specialist, you may need software experts to help you do some kinds of repair. If you offer massage services, you will need massage oils, scented candles, and other things to help you carry out your services better.
In other words, complementary products or services can either improve your own products or services, build them from scratch, or use them. Knowing which products or services complement yours can help your company grow: you can contact the businesses producing these products and services, try to negotiate an exclusive hook-up,
and soon, watch your profits pouring in!
