There are actually a lot of gift items you can choose from but being careful about your choices. Choosing the wrong gifts can hurt your reputation and even leave clients a negative impression of you. Selecting unique and useful gifts for your clients is essential for them to remember you in a good way. So how exactly can you select a great gift that is affordable at the same time? Well, we came up with a list of gift ideas that you might find helpful:
* Gourmet gift baskets ($19.95-$39.95) - you can never go wrong when you choose to give food as gifts. Food is both effective and affordable for a home based business owner like you. Remember to package your gift attractively for your clients to be delighted though. Try buying your gourmet gift baskets at Wine Country Gift Baskets.
* Pens ($0.84-$13.10) - everyone uses pens for business or personal use. Giving your clients a gift that is practical is a good idea and you will be able to establish a good business relationship because of this. It is recommended for you to give pens that are either branded or unique so that your home based business would appear professional. There are different kinds of pens available at Branders.
* Towels or blankets ($2.25-$14.75) - many people give towels as a corporate gift because it is a rather safe gift to give to anyone. You can give towels to your clients as well because they will surely use it and remember that it came from you. Towels are especially recommended if your clients love the outdoors since they will most likely bring the towel with them on their trip.
* Solar powered radio, flashlights, or other eco-friendly gadgets ($0.61-$44.39) - you can make a good impression if you give your clients a gift that is environment friendly and safe to use. They will choose to do business with you because you are concerned about the environment but more than that, these eco-friendly gadgets are actually very useful. Clients can enjoy listening to the radio without paying electricity for it or they can have a flashlight to use in case of a black-out. These gift items are available at Branders.
* Personalized gift items ($9-$79.99) - you can personalize your gifts at FindGifts to put the logo of your business on different gift items. This will set your gift apart from the other gifts that your client is bound to receive.
There are many more gift ideas but you should remember not to use the "one size fits all" strategy in gift giving to make each of your customers feel special. Your goal as a home based business owner should be establishing great relationships with your customers to create loyalty and keep them coming back to you. You can only do this through making them feel wanted and important by the way you treat them and the gifts you give.

Good post! When giving food gifts, be wary about special eating needs. For example, is the client diabetic? Are they a vegetarian?

Personally gourmet gift baskets seem to go over well for me. Although I do like also giving out some items on occasion like pens and such. As well I've done stickers - that turned out well too.

Our best selling gift baskets almost always have a keepsake item in them that can be used long after the gourmet foods are gone. It seems people like the personal touch.
