Home Biz Idea of the Week: House Cleaning Service Home Business (Part II)
Filed in archive business tips on March 20, 2007
This is the second part of the Home Business Idea of the Week featuring house cleaning Business. Its first part includes the ROI and estimated cost of this business.
Skills, Tools, and Resources Required for a House Cleaning Home Business
Cleaning Skills
Obviously, this is a skillset one must have if he or she would like to succeed in this kind of business. If you don't have a talent for carpet vacuuming, dishwashing, achieving hospital corners for the bed, and dusting, a house cleaning home business is not for you. OR you just have to be good in looking for the best ones with these skills if you don't want to do the dirty work yourself.
Contacts
Hiring a house cleaner involves issues of trust so it's important to have a large network of contacts to start with. Contacts can offer you referrals and they can also serve as guarantors of your trustworthiness. If you don't have a contact network to rely on, consider offering your services at reduced rates for every initial service you extend to a client.
Insurance
This will protect you - and in some cases your client as well - in cases where certain unfortunate circumstances happen and neither of you are at fault.
