Home Biz Idea of the Week: Jewelry Making Home Business (Part III)
This is the last part of the Home Business Idea of the Week featuring Home Based jewelry making. Here are its Part I and Part II.

Requirements and How to Grow Your Jewelry Home Business
A jewelry-making home business requires creativity on your part, a willingness to innovate, and an ability to discern what customers want when they ask you to customize their jewelry. Since this business will require you to buy materials constantly, you will need to do your own accounting, or hire someone skilled in it to handle your funds, calculate your budget, and determine the best prices for your products.

You can also sustain your home business by attending workshops constantly, not only to get your creative juices flowing, but to link up with similar business and market your products. For even better marketing, you can put up a website to show pictures of your products, or have a catalog of your jewelry printed out and distributed. You can also ask your customers to help you with referrals, and promise them incentives for the sales you make, say by giving them free jewelry or discounts on their purchases.

With constant innovation, good marketing, and reasonable pricing, you can expect twice your return on your investments in about a year. This, of course, depends on the number of pieces you sell, the proportion of your sales to actual price, and demand for your pieces. The more pieces you sell at a high price, the faster your return on
investment. Before you calculate your earnings, however, you may also want to invest in inventory, security, and insurance for your jewelry-making home business.

If you are interested in putting up a home business in jewelry making, contact local department stores, as well as designers' groups for both ideas and connections. For added legitimacy and credibility, consult with the local offices of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Internal Revenue Service. With taxes paid and registrations made for your home business, you can indulge in your creative whims and earn money from your home-made jewelry.
