Filed in archive marketing on February 20, 2007
This is the last part of the Home Biz Idea of the Week featuring Work-from-Home massage therapy Business. Here are its other parts:
Part I - History and Benefits of Massage Therapy
Part II - Required Skills of a Massage Therapy Business
Part III - Drafting a Massage Therapy Business Plan
As an owner of a business massage therapy service you can expect some good return of investments financially as well as emotionally and socially. Massage therapy is starting to become one of the most viable home businesses nowadays. This business will not just help you rake in the money as you build a good massaging reputation, but it will also expand your network and allow you to meet more people.
Word of mouth is usually a good way to start out. If you are highly recommended by certain clients, you will definitely have a consistent stream of income in the future.
Marketing is very essential for the success of just about any business. Of course, gaining customers by word of mouth can take a long time. In the initial stages of your business you will have to exert extra effort to make your business establishment be more known to your target market.
Websites, newspapers and other advertising medium may be explored. But do not invest too much. Just have enough and make sure you have a presence in strategic locations. One flyer in a city plaza is better than having multiple flyers in a suburban area.

The main difference between massage therapy and other types of service oriented businesses is that in other kinds of service oriented business such as, freelance writing, web desigining, you can have a portfolio. That is not the case in massage therapy service. Here client's good will is your main revenue. If you have clients who love your service then you do not have to worry about money.
