Education, Skills, Tools, and Resources Required for a Scrapbooking Home Business

Scrapbooking Skills - Generally, you'll need to have passion and skills for crafts. Scrapbooking is a hobby or field that encompasses various activities such as sewing, painting, and writing. You need to have a very good eye on design.

Basic Business Computation Skills - You'll also need to learn the rudimentary techniques of computing for your operating costs and net income. You need to know how to file for your business' tax return as well.

Education - An art degree or a certificate from any art or scrapbooking workshop or seminar would be nice, but they're not necessarily an advantage.

Tools and Resources
It's always good to have as much scrapbooking materials as possible - which basically amounts to anything as there's no limit to what can or can't be placed in a scrapbook. As for tools and equipment, you'll definitely need scissors, blades, rulers, coloring and drawing materials, and perhaps a sewing machine as well. A computer and maybe software programs like Corel and Adobe may also be necessary if you're also offering computer designed and computer based scrapbooks.
