home office tools

The startups just keep on coming with their ways of making old, already reliable services shine like new with added bells and whistles. One of the first online offices to come out is Google, allowing people to create and store documents and spreadsheets online. It can even import documents onto the application, and allows for the collaboration of multiple people working on one document from all over the country. It even has a calendar for all your scheduling needs, all within easy reach from one simple Google account.
Zoho aims to be more comprehensive in their service offerings with more productivity tools and they even have a database application on beta.
Preezo brings something new to the table with its attempts at emulating the microsoft powerpoint application. It can be embedded in other websites, however right now the product is not yet available to try. A possible alternative would be to use SlideShare, where you can upload Powerpoint presentations and share them from there, eliminating the need for local disk storage and minimizes trouble created by not having compatible software.
With online offices being so new to the cyberscene, it would be a wise idea to watch out for innovative offerings to help make our lives easier.
