This information is nothing new because of the growing popularity of working from home. However, it's an affirmation that one need not wait until 2010 to think of working from home, er, putting up an home office furniture business.

It has been estimated by various sources that 4 out of 10 American workers will be working from home within the next 10 years. Although some have scoffed at these estimates, retail information from the office furniture industry adds credence to the estimates.

With more businesses allowing telecommuting and with more Americans working for themselves the increase in home office furniture sales was anticipated. In fact, many leading experts point to sales of office furniture and office supplies as indicators for overall trends specifically a trend towards more Americans working from home then ever before.
