1. A bunch of cables are not only an eyesore but they can also cause accidents. Invest in split tubes that would neatly tuck these cables underneath your table. Cable managers such as the Cable Safe and Woven Wrap-Arounds are great choices.
2. Still on unsightly cables, it is also economical to buy Velcro straps or cable straps that would put those cables on the side of your desk.
3. Can you imagine how cumbersome it is to use outlets that are way beyond your reach when you are seated on your desk? Try using desk outlets-they work wonders.
4. If your cables do not only get tangled underneath your desk but also on top of it, better buy desk grommets. These will put all of those tangled up wires underneath your table-right where they belong.
5. Surface raceways are yet another good way of concealing cables. They do not only conceal, they also provide safety. These can be used on the floor and even on the Walls.
6. Cord protectors are flat 'concealers' of, again, cable wires. They do not only protect the cords, more importantly, they protect you from accidents.
7. Still on cords and cables, you can use cable clips, ties or wraps.
8. With all of those wires underneath your desk, can you name which one goes to your computer or to your phone in a snap? Of course not! That's why there are label makers.
9. Storage containers that are transparent or properly labeled are the best desk companions.
10. Consider buying an LCD display monitor mount to not only clear the desk clutter but also to relieve your neck, eye and back of strains.
Apply everything you've read here and you will have a stress-free work environment at home. That's an assurance.

I am suffering from the cable problem but luckily all the cables are at the back of my desk so I do not bother about them. I also suffer a lot for the monitor. After changing the background color of MS word and using screen filter I feel quite comfortable.
