- Home office equipment should be out of children's reach.
- If your home office is in a separate room install a door lock and keeping it locked when not in use.
- Have a kid-safe container for all scissors and other sharp office supplies.
- Install safety covers in unused electrical outlets.
- Always check the condition of electrical cords.
- When using extension cords, power strips, and surge protectors, look for a certification label from an independent testing laboratory such as UL on both the package and the product itself.
