How Home-Based Entrepreneurs Can Improve Self-Discipline: Time Management
Filed in archive management on November 12, 2007
Anthony Shafer works for Loanfight Inc. as a finance consultant. He puts in 12-hour workdays at home, sometimes staying up until 1 a.m. According to Shafer, working at home can have its distractions, especially when the TV's on. To improve his self-discipine, he keeps the channel on CNBC. That way, he can also keep updated on new happenings in the finance business. If you fear that the lack of control will keep you from succeeding in your home-based business, here is one way you can improve your self-discipline:
Have a set number of working hours each day.
This might go against your fantasy of setting your own time but you will need to be disciplined about the number of hours you work in every day in order to succeed. Start as early or as late as you like, as long as the fixed number of hours can cover all the work that needs to be done.
Using this form of self-discipline will also be good for your business. You'll have more time to work on your home-based business and your clients will also know at what time exactly they can get in touch with you.
