Others started right away as virtual assistants. Although the last option may be a bit difficult since you have to prove to your clients that you as a newbie in this service industry can fulfill the requirements of their company, it is not impossible.
To get started, you might want to build your online presence first. Virtual assistant = Virtual presence. Makes sense, right? A website and/or a blog can help you with the basics. What services would you like to focus on? Call support? Email support? Web designing? Transcription jobs? or any administrative task?
Of course, you have to assess your strengths and interests to finally come up with the decision on what you VA task you'd like to specialize on.
