A home-based business growing plants is not a get-rich-quick venture, that's for sure but it has its rewards. How much you'll earn will depend upon the plant you're selling - how popular it is, how in demand and how rare.
Root cuttings, for example, can sell for about $0.50 so you might want to sell in bulk if you want to make some real money. Tree plantings can range from $10 to $45 or more, depending on the variety. Rare flowers are more expensive and if you have a nursery full of them, you can easily make hundreds to thousands of dollars if you make a good sale.
There are even reports that depending on what type of plants you grow and sell, you can earn as much or even more than $50,000 annually.
You can also grow organic fruits and vegetables, which are a great source of income due to their popularity. You could sell them at a good price provided you can show good quality.
