Idea of the Week: Resume Writing Home Business
Filed in archive opportunities on July 5, 2007
Good resume writing begins with good brains, a computer, and a printer. Add a bit of high quality paper and good ink, and you're good to go on your resume writing home business. All you need to do is get word out on your new business: have business cards made with your name, contact information, and job description printed out. Make posters that you can post on job opening bulletin boards in your local college, university, or job placement office. If you want to operate to service people in other countries, then set up a professional looking webpage, complete with your contact information, sample resumes, and even tips on how people can improve their resumes.
A tip on making web pages: make sure that your website will display correctly on a wide range of browsers, and that it will load in ten seconds or less even with a slow dialup connection. You need to take into account that not all people have broadband or wireless Internet; most of the world still operates on dialup, so create a professional looking website with little animation, but with a lot of information. Make people come back to your site regularly by posting useful articles for job hunters: not only will you attract visitors, you can bring search engine robots to your site faster.
