Is Network Marketing Right For You?

, you've probably heard of Network Marketing. Its a new name for an old business, multilevel marketing or MLM. This type of business involves not only selling a product, but recruiting others to do so as well. It works like this: You sign up to sell the company's product. This can be anything from chocolates to vitamins. The person who recruited you gets a percentage of your sales. This is called your upline. You're also encouraged to recruit others to sell the company's product, and you get a percentage of their sales. This is called your downline. Obviously the more people in your downline the more you make. To be successful in this type of business you have to be both outgoing and love sales. Sound like you? Well before you rush to sign up with a company, research it throughly. Do a Google search on it, post inquiries on Home Based Business message boards and check them out with the Better Business Bureau. Not every MLM opportunity is legit. Some are little more than glorified pyramid schemes(Herbalife) or downright cult-like(Amway). It pays to do your homework first. Here is a great place to start.
