Looking for Home Business Contractors?
Here are some tips in looking for people to whom to outsource your home business tasks.

Writing an AD for a Contractor - There are different ways to advertise for a Contractor like the local newspaper, internet job-hunting sites, and trade magazines. When you advertise for a contractor, be sure to keep in mind these pointers:

· Get to the point and specify the job responsibilities.
· Prioritize the skills needed for the job
· Mention the required experience for the job
· Salary - this is optional, however, if the salary is not high, it better to mention it to save you the time on people who are looking for more money
· Specify the interviewer as the contact person

Online Job Boards - There are both free and paid online job boards. The rate of some of the paid online job boards may be the same to that of having a print ad on your local paper, and similar to newspapers, the prices may vary by city. The paid ads are usually for higher positions like an executive or someone with a technical specialty. With regard to jobs that are entry level to upper management, the free job online boards are a good place to start. craiglist (www.craigslist.com) is a well-known resource for job listings.

Employment Agencies - A number of independent contractors are represented by employment agencies. If this is the scenario, the fees that the agency will be paying you is higher than the actual fee being charged by the contractor.

Screening - Before hiring a contractor, make sure to interview them and asks them questions that will verify that they are right for the job and possess the skills needed for the job. As much as possible, request for documents to support the answers to the key questions you will ask like business cards and licenses.

Independent Contractor Agreement/Contract - A contract or agreement help to establish the worker's status, helps to eliminate any disagreement that may happen later regarding the services to perform, compensation, and due dates. Include in the legal contract the date of hire or start of service, the terms of the contract and the rate agreed with.
