New Google Feature Puts Your Business on The Map

The displayed map itself uses the graphic maps listed on the Google database, so the display is easy to understand. The pop up display also includes your full address and contact information, and there are also two added link options for either getting specific directions to your business or expanding the map for a more macro scale reference.
To apply for this feature on your search listing, you just have to send your basic business information to Google's Local Business Center. The basic business information required is the name of your business, it's address, and main phone number. Other optional information you can provide includes alternate phone numbers, website, email address, your operational hours, preferred payment methods, and a brief description of your business/additional comments.
Furthermore, if you have multiple retail locations or additional business branches, you can likewise have these signed up. Each application is treated as a separate entry, and there is no limit to the number of businesses you can have Google add to their database.
This Google service is free, and the accuracy of your address is confirmed after sign-up by either a phone call or post card. Given the competitiveness of modern home businesses, more and more people are signing up for this feature, so it's an excellent idea to get your business on the map as soon as possible. In effect, this is similar to applying for a map listing with your local phone directory books, but without the additional charges. Definitely a great new idea!
