Officemax Used Humor to Advertise a Pen
Companies are getting more and more creative each day as to how to market their products and services. Just recently Officemax used an interactive advertisement featuring Dr. Ackerman as a "graphologist", a penmanship interpreter, in launching TUL, a new pen.

Dr. Ackerman was played by Andy Bobrow, "Malcolm in the Middle's" writer. Dr. Ackerman tells you to jot some words down on paper, so he can analyze your writing.

After answering six questions, he humorously explains what your penmanship reveals about your personality (if you write big, you're looking for attention, and so on). And the urging for viewers to buy a TUL pen happens in the end.

This non-traditional method of advertising products can now be easily employed by just about any kind of business as long as the target market is taken into consideration. With the YouTube technology and other easy-to-use video streaming technology that the Internet offers, it just makes sense to maximize all these options. Learn more methods on how to utilize the online dimension in getting the word out about your business.
