You've probably seen invitations to online surveys before. Some people are actually making money from these online surveys. So how does it work?

Companies need to do a lot of surveys and ask questions about customer preferences. It is very costly to launch a product without knowing if there are people willing to buy it. It would cost them thousands of dollars if a product does not sell. By doing surveys to people (and paying them for their opinion), these companies will have a better knowledge if a product will sell or not.

Stay at home moms can participate in such surveys through the internet and get paid up to about $50 per survey. For some, it may be a good idea to join such survey companies and make extra money, but don't count on it as your main source of income. It can however be a source of good extra money in addition to what you are doing.

If you have a home business and there are slack times or non-peak months, this could be a good addition.

There are a lot of online surveys out there. You can try searching in Google. Alternatively, to save time, some people buy a database of companies that do online surveys such as Survey Annex. People then get to have access to the list immediately and apply to different sites as much as they can handle.
