The Postal Service has issued an advisory on a growing work at home scam. This one is called Reshipping. How it works is like this. The victim answers an ad offering a work at home opportunity. The job seems simple enough. Receive packages at your home and repackage them, then ship them out using the prepaid shipping labels the company supplies. There is a very legit business called freight forwarding that does this sort of thing, but this is not it. In this case the victim is receiving merchandise bought with stolen credit cards. The packages are usually reshipped to Soviet countries. This is not only a scam, a crime! There have been several incidents of people who accepted the "job" and wound up being put in jail for receiving stolen property. So please, read the advisory and protect yourself!
