1. Will clients visit your home office?
Avoid places where noise and family member distraction will be a routine. Also, avoid situating your home office in too personal spaces where you and your clients may not be too comfortable to interact in.
2. Will you be making products on site?
Home offices are good for businesses that won't be requiring too noisy manufacturing procedures. Virtual assistants and consultancy businesses are ideal for home offices. But if you will be using noisy tools, production sites are better located in yards or detached buildings or garages.
3. What home office equipment will you be using?
If you will be doing much of clerical work and not manufacturing procedures, usually, a desk, an office chair, a computer, a printer, a phone and storage cabinets will do. But if you will be working on tangible products you might require a different set of equipment.
4. What health and safety factors will your workplace require?
Workplace safety should always be your top priority since you'd be spending most of your time in your home office. Check what safety precautions and equipment will give your workplace a more safe ambience. Ergonomic equipment should never be discounted if you would want to maintain a healthy or stress-free workplace.
5. What backup procedures will your business require?
If you mostly work on online data, computer data backup
should be given attention. You don't want to lose all that you've worked on in just a wink of an eye.via HomeBusinessWiz
