Saturday Scam Alert: "Mystery Shoppers"
There's a new work at home scam out there, folks. This one involves mystery shoppers. The ads claim you can make $500 a week as one. Mystery shoppers are folks paid to shop at and evaluate retailers. This particular scam invites people to evaluate western union by accepting a check, cashing it, and wiring the money-you guessed it. The checks are fake and by the time the duped "mystery shopper" realizes it, the money is long gone and they are on the hook for it. Oh, and not only that, but what they've done is considered money laundering! Don't fall for it!
