Silicon.com Folks Tips for Telecommuters
As a part of the observation of Work Wise Week's National work from home Day in UK, Silicon.com editors took a break from the office and did some remote and at-home working. Straight from what they've experienced, they shared some indispensable tips to those who would like to test the waters of working from home that I think would be very applicaple to either telecommuters or to full-fledged home based business owners.

Many of the tips are on how to make sure you stay connected with your colleagues and some de-stressing tips:

Make sure you have a few ways for people to contact you--such as a mobile, a landline, email and instant messaging--so if one connectivity mode goes down for a while, your colleagues will still have a way to reach you--and you them.

But one of the most important that is often overlooked in my opinion is on making your family or whoever you're with at home understand your work.
Make sure friends, family and partners understand what working from home is about and that they appreciate it's not an 'available for chores and errands day'.
