Understand the Value of Time.
Many people tend to forget the value of time when conducting an end-of-year analysis. But time is an essential factor to how much you succeed in the industry. If you don't make productive use of the time allotted to you, a lot of opportunities will pass you by, with or without you knowing it. Take out your planner and review the affairs you were supposed to attend to. Did you make a habit of cramming before the deadline or were you always able to produce results ahead of schedule?
What Do People Have to Say?
No end-of-year analysis is complete without input from your customers. These are the people you serve and cater to. Without them, there's no point for your enterprise to continue. There are times when what the financial statements have to say contradict the market's opinion. If you've booming sales but your customers still express dissatisfaction with your service then you're still doing something wrong and it's best to know what that is as quickly as you can.
How Do You Feel?
Lastly, how do you feel about this year's work? Do you still feel content with your work as a home-based entrepreneur? Have you fulfilled any intrinsic goals you may have set for yourself? If you still feel happy and challenged then, regardless of what anything or anyone has to say, you should still continue working hard!
