Bringing work at home if you did not ask for a work-at-home arrangement, ok even if you did, can be stressful if you're not used to juggling work and family life.
In view of this, Beyond.com shared the following work/life balance tips:
--Firstly, it says, prioritize work; and tackle items with deadlines or works which are most critical to the business.
--Secondly, start clearing off your desk to create a smooth workflow, eliminating confusion, distraction, and waste of time.
--What is important for employees, Beyond says, is they must not feel the burden of handling all tasks personally, instead they look to others for support, including fellow team members or other departments that possess expertise in certain areas.
--"Things rarely go according to plan, so build some time into the schedule for things that come up during the day," it suggests.
--Finally, it advises employees not to get stuck in the world of e-mails. "Email is a convenient form of communication, however it can be a great distraction when trying to complete a task. Know when it is time to step away from the inbox and complete more important projects," it says.
