Foothills Fall Festival New Rules Don’t Go Down Well With Maryville Businesses

© zigazou76Strict rules introduced at Foothills Fall Festival at Maryville are preventing some businesses to take part in the event. Downtown business owner, Richard Clear, who has a booth set up outside his martial arts and health shop, was told by the City Fall Festival authorities that he cannot this year. Several businesses have been affected by these new strict rules and many of the downtown businesses have complained that the city is giving preference to out of town vendors over the city businesses.
The Foothills Fall Festival brings in at least 75,000 customers every year to Maryville. Event coordinator of the Fall Festival, Jane Groff defended the rules, saying that the regulations have been formed to support both local and out of town businesses equally, and that there is no discrimination.
